Our bodies are merely as clean as the food we feed them. That’s why the quality of substances that we put in our digestive system is of utmost importance. Good, clean and natural food should be a priority while junk food should be just the opposite.

Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food
Hippocrates

Our bodies are literally manufactured out of the food we eat. Unsurprisingly, the nutritional content of what we consume determines the composition of our body cells, tissues, blood and hormones.

Clean food is one that minimally processed and derived from nature as much as possible. The best food is free of additives, colourings, flavourings, sweeteners, and hormones.

Processed food does not contain much fibre and water, but instead it is high in calories and tastes, sugar and salt. Clean food is just the opposite are the opposite – contains lots of fibre and fluid, and it has nutrients, free of added flavours.

What you eat and how you feel, both mentally and physically, have a close connection.

Your face, nails and hair depend on the macro and micronutrients, vitamins and minerals that your body contains. Calcium is responsible for how strong your hair and nails are: the quality of your skin can rely on Vitamin A, and so on.

Many types of food, especially fast food are created to make you crave for more, so you therefore overeat and as a consequence  become overweight.

Some food contains, mostly meat, contains hormones which can harm your body and often lead to a weight-gain.

To sum up, the consequences of what we eat eventually breaks through to the outside and affects our physical appearance. The most obvious physical factors are weight and skin. For instance, consumption of foods high in sugar, salt, bad fat and carbs can exacerbate already irritated skin. Drinking enough water is a simple way to prevent many illnesses, clean up your system and help your skin look glowing.
